Tom Waits' voice.
Described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding "like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car."

Tom Waits is like that. You either like his style. Or not. But his music is one thing that I absolutely love: authentic. Rough. Gritty.
Real.
Here's one of my fave's. Enjoy it.

I enjoy reading a lot and your stories are worth reading, nice blog, keep it up.
ReplyDeleteAuthentic tours Morocco
I was going to note also that your side stories are a bonus to the viewing of your work.
ReplyDeleteAnd this portrait is incredible.
I realize it has been a few years since you have written here. I just wanted to say I too had Ron Sachse as a teacher. Drawing "worms" and other strange things I didn't appreciate then but when we came up with something really stupid (like an old gym sock we wrote "socksy" on and hung in the room), he embraced it. Anyway, your art is really nice and I hope you are still creating. I just do it for fun but it is all I want to do.
